COLLABORATION was a kind of journey of 8 Munich based artists. They made a "tour" from Munich to Mostar and later on to Belgrade and after back again to Munich. In August 2013 and March 2014 they made research in both cities. In May 2015 Iva Kontic and Mihael Milunovic had a one month residdency in Munich and made a project at MaximiliansForum (www.collaboration9.de/layer_collaboration_7).
Two members of our group, Sandra Filic and Anon Bosnjak, are related to former Yugoslavia. Anton was born in Mostar and grew up there and has still a close relation to the art scene of Mostar. He brought us close to the political, social and historical situation in his home country and his place of birth. Sandra Filic is living in Germany since her childhood and got in touch with the Serbian art scene during a stay in London. Both artists worked as a kind of "door opener" and "guides", to get us in touch with the local problems, difficulties and state of minds of these very regions.
In Mostar we were invited to work in Corovica Cuca and in Belgrade we worked in a new space called ROTONDA. Back in Munich the trip ended up with a public event in an exhibition site called UNDER (DE)CONSTRUCTION.
